Bobby Jasinski, a native of New York City, started piano at age five. Mr. Jasinski studied piano with Andrej Sykora, Spencer Schuyler, Tanya Kodinsky, Rosita Kerr Mang, Claudia Stevens and Christine Niehaus. The winner of numerous state and national competitions (including the Baldwin East Coast Competition and the Virginia State Concerto Competition), Mr. Jasinski embraced jazz piano in college under the tutelage of Eric Lyttle and Harris Simon. Additionally, he has enjoyed the distinct pleasure of studying conducting with current Augusta Symphony Orchestra Music Director and Solti International Conducting Competition winner, Shizuo Kuwahara. Mr. Jasinski has directed musical versions of “Fiddler on the Roof”  and “Ragtime” in Williamsburg, VA. Most recently, Mr. Jasinski was musical director of “The Sound of Music” with the Lord of Life Players in Clifton, VA.

Mr. Jasinski also has made appearances at the Swedish and French Embassies, the World Bank, the National Press Club, HR-57, Twins Jazz, The Kennedy Center and the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C., as well as countless venues in Richmond, VA, the Hampton Roads area and in New York City. He has had the honor of performing (and having masterclasses) with Chick Corea, McCoy Tyner, Evgeny Kissin, Emanuel Ax, George Robert and Cyrus Chestnut. Additionally, Mr. Jasinski has written many compositions that have received local attention, including his 24 Preludes for Piano, Piano Suite No. 1, String Suite No. 1 and several jazz originals.

Mr. Jasinski is a recent graduate of Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. For the past eight years, Mr. Jasinski’s popular benefit concerts for the people of Haiti (, Hurricane Katrina, and the 2005 South Pacific tsunami victims have grossed thousands of dollars and generated thousands of canned and packaged food items. Mr. Jasinski recently gave his eleventh benefit concert at St. George's Episcopal Church in Arlington, VA with the charity organization, Homestretch, as his focus. Mr. Jasinski's official debut CD, entitled "A Speck in Time", was released in July of 2012.
